blogA BRIDE'S GUIDE TO A PERKY POSIE

Here at Petal & Feast, we really love flowers [REALLY] and we wanted to share our top tips on keeping them looking fresh and beautiful on your big day.

Now usually, your flowers will arrive in the morning whilst you’re getting ready. Everyone will be busy and the doorbell will ring.  The least busy person will be sent to answer the door [usually a male] and will probably be handed a giant box that doesn’t really fit anywhere.  That person will then probably wander around for 5-10 minutes, testing out various scenarios before placing the flowers on the coffee table and skipping off to make a cup of tea.  There they will stay until it’s time to get married!

Really though, you should take your blooms out of the box!  It’s okay, just be gentle, and pop them into some water.

Half an hour before your due to leave, get them out of the water and dry off the stems.  Then pop them somewhere cool – not near radiators, or in bright sun on a windowsill.

During the day, if they should start to wilt a little,  just snip off the ends and stand them in some water to wake them up! If you don’t have anything to snip the ends putting them in some water will still help.

Simple.

Love your flowers and they will love you.
